How Not To Notify My Linkdin Update

Back in 2015, I wrote about how to turn off LinkedIn contour notifications so that your LinkedIn network wouldn't be notified every time you made a modify to your profile. This used to include making changes to your profile photo, piece of work experience, and some other things. Now, according to LinkedIn, your network volition get notified when you make edits to an existing job, add a new task and when it'southward your work anniversary.

Since my old post is out of appointment and the instructions no longer work, I thought I'd put together some new instructions. These steps are pretty similar on both the desktop (in your Internet browser) and mobile app.

Let's become started.

1) Click on the "Me" (profile) option in the navigation and so choose "Settings & Privacy."

two) Click on "Privacy."

3) Coil down on the page and wait for "Sharing contour edits." You'll encounter that by default notifications are turned on (unless you changed them before). Click the "Modify" push.

iv) Under "Sharing profile edits, click on the toggle push button next to "Yep."

It should now say "No." You'll see a "Saved" message off to the right letting you know that the modify has been fabricated.

That's it. You can now make changes to your profile and your connections won't go notified.

In the hereafter, if you want your network to know that you've switched jobs, go in and plough the notification back on. Practiced luck!
